MASTER’S DEGREE
– The maximum period for payment of the credits necessary to defend the dissertation will be three semesters
– The Master student must take 24 credits, which will include at least two of the following mandatory subjects: MBI 610 – Physiology of Microorganisms, MBI 620 – Structure and Function of Nucleic Acids, MBI 622 – Genetics of Prokaryotic Microorganisms, MBI 623 – Genetics of Eukaryotic Microorganisms or MBI 664 – Microbial Ecology.
– MBI 797 – Seminar I will grant 01 (one) credit that will be considered to pay the minimum credits required by the program
– Student enrollment in the discipline MBI 776 – Internship in Teaching I is mandatory discipline MBI 777 – Internship in Teaching II, or MBI 778 – Internship in Teaching III, in at least one semester. The credits obtained in one of these disciplines can be used to pay the minimum amount of credits required by the program.
DOCTORATE DEGREE
– The maximum period for payment of the credits necessary to defend the thesis will be five semesters
– MBI 797 – Seminar I will grant 01 (one) credit that will be considered to pay the minimum credits required by the program
– Student enrollment in MBI 776 – Internship in Teaching I discipline MBI 777 – Internship in Teaching II, or MBI 778 – Internship in Teaching III, is required for at least one semester. The credits obtained in one of these disciplines can be used to pay the minimum amount of credits required by the program.
– The PhD student must take one to three of the following mandatory subjects (12 credits) depending on the equivalent credits obtained during the Master’s: MBI 610 – Physiology of Microorganisms, MBI 620 – Structure and Function of Nucleic Acids, MBI 622 – Genetics of Prokaryotic Microorganisms, MBI 623 – Genetics of Eukaryotic Microorganisms or MBI 664 – Microbial Ecology.
