1) Título: Distribution and diversity of ectomycorrhizal fungi, revealed by metabarcoding of soil, roots and fruiting bodies

Ectomycorrhizal fungi are said to be rare in the Amazon lowlands, first because fruiting bodies are rarely observed, second because roots from timber trees are rarely colonized by ectomycorrhizal fungi. Metabarcoding of soil could reveal more ectomycorrhizal sequences, but for South America, assignation of sequences to ectomycorrhizal taxa is often limited by the lack of reference specimens.After a short review of the possible reasons explaining the lack of detection of ectomycorrhizal taxa and sequences, we will illustrate a case study in French Guiana, where soil, roots and specimens were analyzed through metabarcoding. The use of three approach permits to sketch a more integrative view on the diversity and distribution of ectomycorrhizal fungi in French Guiana.

Technical advances in sequencing and bioinformatics sciences over the last two decades have led to a drastic change to the way vaccines are developed nowadays, allowing the revision and streamlining of vaccine development into what is now known as ’’Reverse Vaccinology’’. 
When compared to the classical methods, Reverse Vaccinology greatly reduces time and workforce necessary for the development of novel vaccine candidates.
This lecture focuses on the various aspects of vaccines development according to the Reverse Vaccinology workflow: from in silico immunogens selection to in vivo testing.
