The Graduate Program in Agricultural Microbiology’s (PPGMBA) Alumni Portal is now available on the website. The tool was developed as a way of fostering interaction between the program itself and its students and alumni.

The idea is for former PPG students to use the space to register their contact details and share their projects and current occupation.

“With this portal, interested parties will be able to find information about the professional activities of our alumni, facilitating meetings and connections for future work,” says the PPG’s coordinator, Professor Wendel Silveira, who also mentions calls for proposals aimed exclusively at teamwork. “The intention is to promote the meeting of researchers, increasing the chance of our students identifying colleagues who can contribute to their research and career projects.”

With this same objective, the PPG will be promoting the first edition of the Meeting of Students and Alumni of the PPG in Agricultural Microbiology at UFV in November, during the program of the VI International Symposium on Microbiology and Biotechnology (SIMB2023). For the first time, the symposium will have a moment specifically dedicated to the exchange of experiences between former PPG students and current master’s and doctoral students, as a way of strengthening the researchers’ network of contacts.
