The perspectives and challenges experienced by Brazilian scientists seeking to become entrepreneurs are the subject of several actions that the PPG Agricultural Microbiology is starting this week.
The second episode of MicroVerso, the PPG’s podcast, is now available on the main audio platforms, and this time it features a conversation with Professor Alan Ferreira de Freitas, from UFV’s Department of Administration and Accounting, an expert on the subject. In almost 40 minutes of chat, Alan talks about the Brazilian scenario, the challenges facing entrepreneurial scientists and graduate programs, and building alternatives for the future of science in the country.
On Wednesday, September 6, Professor Alan will give a talk on “Skills and competencies of the entrepreneurial scientist” in the Bioagro auditorium at 4pm. The talk is open to all interested parties and kicks off a series of events within the PPG’s Continuing Education Program on the subject of entrepreneurship.
The following week, on the 13th, the students will hear from the Microbiota Brasil team, a business accelerator for technology-based companies linked to TecnoPARQ-UFV. This time, the topic will be “Microbiota and the start of an entrepreneurial journey”.
On the last two Wednesdays in September, the PPG is holding two workshops, also on the subject of entrepreneurship, given by Professor Cristiano Valério Ribeiro.
